Anuga 2011- U.S. Pavilions Help Food and Beverage Marketers Increase Export Sales
Chicago, Cologne – February 3, 2011
The USDA-endorsed U.S. Pavilions at Anuga, the world’s largest global food and beverage food fair held every two years in Cologne, Germany, offer U.S. food and beverage marketers cost-effective visibility in the increasingly crowded global food market.
The U.S. Pavilion provides a U.S. specific environment making it a prime destination for buyers and distributors from other countries seeking out high-quality, safe and delicious American-made products. “The Anuga fair is the one trade event that guarantees you a return on your investment of time and money,” says Rodney Schnurr, vice president, international division, Snyder’s of Hanover, Hanover, PA. “It’s a superb forum for the international trade at large.”
Anuga 2011 takes place October 8-12, 2011 in the Koelnmesse Convention Center. Unlike any other trade show, Anuga’s unique concept of featuring 10 specialized trade show segments in one location has been highly successful in matching exhibitors with their right target audience.
In 2009, there were close to 150 participants in the U.S. Pavilion. According to USDA, these companies generated an estimated $ 7.8 million in on-site sales and more than $158 million in 12-month projected sales.
Says Mette Petersen, president and managing director, Koelnmesse Inc., Chicago. “Anuga is a serious order writing show. Our U.S. Pavilion program makes it easy for buyers to find American-made products. Over 80% of the U.S. companies in the U.S. pavilions receive assistance via Market Access Program (MAP) funding from the Foreign Agricultural Service, an excellent way to provide U.S. companies with great visibility at a very affordable price. Imagine, more than 150,000 trade attendees from 180 countries all waiting to meet with you in one location.”
U.S. Pavilions are offered in five of the 10 segments: Drinks, Fine Food, Frozen Food, Meat and Organic.
Selected booth space is still available in some of the U.S. pavilions. For more information on exhibiting, contact Veronica Woods, Koelnmesse Inc. at 773/326-9922.
