FIVE USA PAVILIONS FEATURED IN 5 DIFFERENT PRODUCT HALLS AT ANUGA 2011

Cologne, Chicago – September, 2011

Every two years, U.S. Food & Beverage producers are eagerly awaiting the start of Anuga in order to market their latest products to the international food & beverage communities. This year, more than 150 U.S. companies will participate in this event. U.S. companies will be easy to spot in five product-specific USA Pavilions at Anuga, the world’s most international industry event for the food & beverage industry taking place from October 8-12, 2011 in Cologne, Germany.

In cooperation with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Koelnmesse, Inc., the Chicago-based North American arm of the Anuga Show organizer, Koelnmesse GmbH, has again organized the USA Pavilions in the following halls: Fine Food (hall 10.2), Meat (hall 9) and specialized USA Pavilions in Frozen Food (hall 4.2), Organic (hall 5.2) and Drinks (hall 8).

The Pavilions introduce companies new to export markets, but also provide a stage for many internationally acclaimed manufacturers and long time Anuga exhibitors such as Tyson, Perdue, Smithfield or AJC who can be found in the U.S. Meat & Poultry Pavilion. Fine Food and staple products from manufacturers such as Seneca, Paramount Farms, Magic Time, Red River, Snyder’s-Lance and Sun Maid and many others will be showcased in the U.S. Fine Food Pavilion. A trip to the Drink Hall will lead to the U.S. company Cool Tropics and their newest juice slush creations. The Frozen Food hall will feature U.S. frozen cookie dough and muffin products from Otis Spunkmeyer and David’s Cookies and a Ricotta based Cheesecake offered by Eli’s. And a stroll to Anuga’s Organic Halls will uncover gluten free products from Food for Life, innovative freeze-dried fruit products for cereals from Brother all Natural and the latest creations of Green Tea Mints by Sencha Naturals.

The U.S. Pavilion will offer a “New Product Showcase” sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The exhibits provide a quick and comprehensive overview of the latest innovations launched during Anuga by U.S. Pavilion exhibitors. Highlights among the new products this year are a cranberry orange spread designed by Gracious Gourmet, flavored tortilla chips offered by Lady Liberty and Stonewalls newest creation of Roasted Peach Whiskey Barbecue Sauce. The “New Products Showcase Exhibit” is located in hall 10.2, booth I-66a.

Attendees on the lookout for U.S. distribution rights should pick up a copy of the “Anuga 2011 USA Pavilion Directory,” available at all five Pavilion locations. The directory includes alphabetical and product listings of all USA Pavilion companies with respective contact information and product descriptions.

The neighboring NAFTA countries Canada and Mexico will be represented as well: Canadian Pavilions can be found in halls 11.2, 6 and 8 while Mexican companies are located with unique products in halls 3.1 and 8.
