The countdown is running: ProFood Tech, the new central supplier trade fair for the food and beverage processing industry in North America, is opening its gates for the first time in a little over a month. Industry relevance, internationality, innovation, and quality are the trademarks with which the event is positioning itself for its premiere from 4 to 6 April 2017 in the Lakeside Center on the McCormick Place fair grounds in Chicago. With over 400 exhibitors from more than 15 countries, the ProFood Tech is exceptionally well-positioned right from the start. “The registration status confirms our market-oriented trade fair concept, which we have developed together with our partners in intensive dialogue with the industry,” comments Denis Steker, Vice President International of Koelnmesse, on the good starting situation. “The common goal of the organizers and the participating exhibitors is to establish ProFood Tech as a central meeting point for buyers and decision makers from the food technologyindustry in the NAFTA region, on which the industry can focus its attention in future.” Internationally and nationally successful top companies, as well as innovative newcomers will present new technologies and solutions in the field of food and beverage processing to a trade public from the USA, Canada, and Mexico. An extensive supporting and congress program revolving around trends and new technologies provides a perfect platform for the exchange of ideas and functions as a meeting point for the top decision makers of the industry with top shelf managers. ProFood Tech is organized jointly by the internationally active trade fair organizer Koelnmesse, PMMI – The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, and the milk industry association IDFA (International Dairy Foods Association).

The concept of ProFood Tech is based on feedback provided by the industry and is perfectly tailored to the needs of the NAFTA market. The event is the only trade fair in North America to represent all segments of food and beverage technology. With bundled expertise, the three partners of ProFood Tech provide a central trade fair that has long been called for by the industry. It unites supply and demand in the food processing field in the Dairy, Baking & Snack, Beverage, Frozen/Prepared Food, and Meat/Poultry/Seafood segments.

ProFood Tech gathers over 400 exhibitors from more than 15 countries, and thus already clearly exceeds the very high expectations of the organizers and the industry of the new trade fair format. Many North American exhibitors, as well as US subsidiaries of German and international companies will present their service portfolios in April. Top players like Azo, Bizerba, Chr. Hansen, Delkor Systems, Deville Technologies, Gea, Harpak-ULMA Packaging, Krones, Polypack, Serac, Tetra Pak, Trepko, and Veolia Water Solutions demonstrate the international importance of the event as a new platform for profitable business and technical innovations. The trade fair premiere also convinces with its high number of international exhibitors, including from Germany, Switzerland, and the UK, as well as joint participation from Denmark, Italy, and Turkey.

Exhibitor Council and ProFood Tech supporting and congress program
Within the framework of an Exhibitor Council, well-known exhibitors like Azo, Chr. Hansen, Delkor Systems, Deville Technologies, Harpak-ULMA Packaging, Krones, Polypack, Serac, and Tetra Pak consult directly with the organizers, and are thus closely involved in the conceptualization of the trade fair. The Exhibitor Council of ProFood Tech thus includes high level major figures on the market.

A top class supporting and congress program offers decision makers and buyers an ideal platform for business contacts and networking. The focus is on core themes of the food and beverage processing industry of North America, as well as on trends and future themes of the industry. The ProFood Tech congress program, presented by the IDFA, gathers recognized TOP managers of the food and beverage industry and draws attention to innovations and processes in food processing and technology, as well as to current consumer trends and tastes in the context of conferences and workshops. The ProFood Tech Learning Hub offers an interactive area in which sessions take place with experts revolving around the themes of innovation and regulation. Innova Market Insights also presents trends for the food industry in 2017 and beyond. A world leading provider of knowledge solutions for the food and beverage industries, Innova will offer detailed information on all the trends with further presentations to be given on innovation in packaging and processing. Innova Market Insights will highlight the future challenges facing the food & beverage industry and how packaging and processing developments can help to overcome them.

Another plus for all registered visitors: the admission ticket for ProFood Tech enables access to the ProMat and Automate trade fairs taking place at the same time, and thus also to options for profitable networking and insights into the best practice examples of other industries.
